Self Understanding

Samadhimayi Ma has been a serious spiritual seeker for over thirty years. She Awakened to the SUPREME SELF in October, l997. Her Awakening was profound and deep. Situated in the Truth, Samadhimayi Ma confesses that All are the Divine Person, the Self of Selves. Samadhimayi Ma in Sanskrit means "Mother of Being." The following are her words: "Do you know WHO you Really are? Do you have any idea of WHO you might possibly be? If you did, you might be severely jolted. You are EVERYTHING. Absolutely EVERYTHING. Your natural state is simply BEINGNESS. You are Truth, Itself. Already. No making up anything. You are the very goal which you seek. Your essence is Pure Consciousness, which is ETERNAL. YOU ARE FOREVER. And so is EVERY ONE ELSE. That is why it is essential for us to give loving kindness to ALL sentient beings. Why? Because they are ALL drops of the Divine Essence, and some day they will Awaken to their True Selves." God Realization IS the same as SELF Realization. God and Self are ONE. Ego self is in our way. Ego self will automatically be transcended when the Understanding is Complete. Every moment is a precious opportunity to Realize our True Nature. Discover your True Nature while you have the chance."
      Self Understanding: "Self and God are One. Self is the Supreme Eternal Self of all Selves. THERE IS NOTHING BUT THE SELF. Self is Eternal. It is Eternity ItSelf. It is your very Beingness. You are the Self, Self-Effulgent, shining like a star. What is Understanding? To Understand is to "stand under" an idea or concept. It is to comprehend it completely. Understanding is one of the qualities of God/Self. Yet, we can use that quality, Understanding, to find God/Self. Understanding is the key to unlocking the door to Eternity. Understanding is your ticket to God/Self, to Infinity. But the desire for Self Understanding must be there. So we see that Self Understanding is the process AND the result of Understanding the Supreme Self."
      Desire for Self Understanding: "I can only say that the desire for Self Understanding must be EXTREMELY KEEN for one to Awaken to the True Reality. The desire must be as great as the desire a drowning man has for air, and that is incredibly intense."
      Self Enquiry, the Direct Path to Self Understanding: " Inquiring into one's own Self, Self Enquiry, is the most direct path to God Realization. The question is asked of oneSelf, "Who am I?", and it is done in a very sincere, honest way with a very intense desire. The desire must be keen, it must be Real. God/Self is waiting to REALIZE YOU. If you make one step to Him, He makes ten toward you. Knock and the door shall be opened. If it is not, then the desire is not strong enough, or the enquirer is not sincere enough. When the Answer comes, All questions will be answered. That is called Awakening to the Eternal Self or Mukti (Liberation). When God/Self Realizes You, you are no more. Then only the Supreme Self remains. ONLY YOU can Awaken to your own Self. Others have their own battles to fight. Awaken to the God/Self now."
      God, Self, and Guru are One: "This is what I call the Unifying Field of Existance (Totality), or Brahmand. God, Self, and Guru are ONE. I am telling you the Truth. If you love Truth, you love God/Self/Guru. The Guru is God, the Guru is Self, God is Guru, God is Self, Self is God, Self is Guru. God, Self, and Guru are Identical. We have many teachers who have shared the Eternal Truth with us along the way. We humbly bow to them all. But no man is our Guru. Only God has that honour. Follow no man or woman. Look within to your very own Self. There is a treasure house there awaiting your discovery. This human life is precious, so please take the opportunity while you can and Awaken to the True Self. Hari Om."
